Attendants clean your vehicle manually using foam, mitts, and microfibre cloths. This method is gentle on paint, thorough on hard-to-reach spots, and usually includes interior vacuuming and window wiping.
Your car is guided through a conveyor belt system with rotating brushes or high-pressure water jets that clean the exterior automatically. Fast (under 10 minutes), consistent, and widely available at petrol stations and shopping malls.
Coin or token-operated bays equipped with high-pressure hoses, foam cannons and vacuums. You do all the work. Extremely affordable and available 24/7 in most residential areas. Very popular in Selangor, Johor, and Penang suburbs.
Similar to tunnel wash but you remain in the vehicle while it passes through. Common at petrol stations like Petronas and Shell. Touchless options use high-pressure water only, avoiding brush contact and making them safer for wrapped or coated cars.
High-temperature steam vapour sanitises both interior and exterior surfaces. Uses minimal water (up to 90% less than conventional washing), kills bacteria, and is safe for electronics. Growing in popularity in KL and Selangor eco-conscious markets.
The detailer comes to you — at your home, office, or condominium carpark. Ideal for busy professionals who can't afford to leave their car at a shop. Usually waterless or steam-based, making them suitable for condominiums with restricted water access.
Pre-rinse to remove loose dirt → foam cannon application (dwell 2–3 min) → hand-mitt wash panel by panel → rinse → tyre & wheel clean → interior vacuum → window wipe → final spray wax. Duration: 30–60 minutes. Quality varies highly by operator.
Pre-soak spray → conveyor draws car through rotating brushes or cloth strips → high-pressure rinse → spot-free rinse → blow-dry. You stay in neutral with windows up. Duration: 5–10 minutes. Consistent results across visits.
Insert tokens → select mode (pre-soak, foam, rinse, wax rinse) → use high-pressure lance on exterior → rinse → optionally use vacuum bay. You control quality and time. Tips: start roof-down, keep lance 30–40cm from paint, never use brush on dirty paint.
Dry steam (150°C+) emitted from a wand attachment dissolves dirt and grease on contact. Operator works section by section — door jambs, engine bay, interior fabric, dashboard, exterior panels. Microfibre towel wipes follow. Very effective on interior odours and mould.

Modern soft-cloth tunnel washes are generally safe for most paint finishes used 1–2× per month. However, for ceramic-coated or PPF-protected vehicles, a touchless wash or hand wash is preferable to avoid potential brush contact that could dull protective coatings over time.
Once every 1–2 weeks is ideal for Malaysia's climate. The combination of tropical humidity, UV radiation, bird droppings, and road tar means paint contamination builds up quickly. Regular washing prevents bonded contaminants that require more expensive correction later.
A waterless wash uses a spray lubricant containing surfactants that lift and encapsulate dirt so it can be wiped away without scratching. Effective for light dust and grime, not for heavily soiled or muddy vehicles. Popular in condominiums where water use in carparks is restricted.
A typical full-service wash (RM25–50) includes exterior hand wash, interior vacuum, window cleaning (inside and out), tyre dressing, and dashboard wipe-down. Premium packages add engine bay cleaning, seat shampooing, and odour treatment. Always confirm inclusions before paying.
